Anne Kemp is the columnist behind “Anne In Progress,” which appears bi-monthly in the Frederick News-Post, a newspaper in the DC-Metro area. As a blogger, she is known for “Life My Way” and “The Ultimate Late Bloomer.” She also writes for several websites, from eHow to Powder Room Graffiti.
Anne has lived in Los Angeles for 12 years. Originally from Frederick, Maryland, Anne moved in 1998 pursuing an acting career (see: waitress). From here she was introduced to the world of celebrity personal assisting. Her clients ranged from musicians to high profile media personalities. She has transitioned over the years from employed, to laid-off, to student, and now writer.
Earning the nicknames “Late Bloomer” and “Fair-Weathered Romantic,” Anne is known best for her opinion and view of life. The original and honest sense of humor that she uses in her columns earned her a Bloggers Choice Nomination for Best Humor Blog in 2010. Not one to mince words, she will share a recipe with you that she pried from her dead Grandmother’s hands or dole out the advice you didn’t know you needed about that date you had last night.
Soaking in life’s daily lessons, Anne is proud that she is in a proverbial state of progress. To her that’s life’s sweetest reward.
