I cringe sometimes when I have to tell a waiter I’m gluten free. Sometimes I’m overly apologetic, as if it’s my fault I can’t have gluten. I’d love to not be gluten free, but it was one of the first things that really worked at helping to ease my symptoms when I was first diagnosed with Graves Disease.Read More
When I was diagnosed with Graves, the one thing I was not was thankful. On one hand, I was scared, confused, tired, in pain and very worried about how my life would look. On the other, I had an answer, I now knew why I was constantly feeling so sick, why my hair was falling out, why my heart would pound so hard some nights that I thought it would fly out of my chest.

I was told I had everything but a thyroid disorder by at least three doctors. In fact, my old endocrinologist used to tell me if it hadn't been for me pushing for more tests and asking "why" it may not have been caught...Read More
My name is Anne and I’m a full-fledged Pinterest fail. I’ve tried to fight it, I mean I follow the directions but for some reason the way the pretty food/craft/clothing looks on Pinterest never translates once I try to make it.Read More
February 14th. Valentine's Day, the day of love! It's such a simple day with a sweet message, yet every year we hear about the woes of those who simply do not want to celebrate this day or those who cry "foul!" because this holiday was made up by Hallmark.
I used to be this person...Read More
